Hodge Podge or Miss-Mash

I'm not sure what this blog is anymore.   In the beginning, I had in mind  I would tell the world how life is for the Sunset years of Seniors.  However it may have become a mis-mash of my every day musing, more than anything else.  Not sure if I've accomplished my starting goal.

Like, this week there hasn't been anything exciting I want to write about.  When I have interaction with my grandchildren, there is always a story.  However since Christmas I see my great Grands on Sunday, but we live several miles apart, so there is little interaction during the week.  It is just a fact that is.

Both Will and Parker and Preston are playing Basketball.  I have not been priviledged to see either of them play, but I have visions of them running the court, keeping an eye on the prized basketball, and hoping it will get in their hands so they can make the point!  However, I have a difficult time visualizing how much  they have lowered the goal post for their size.

I don't think they took any of their sports skills from me.  My husband was a good basketball player, and remembers he was guarding a young man in middle school who fell at his feet and died.  The Little Rock  news has reported a high school student in LR passed out during a game, last week.  He is in intensive care, responsive but critical.  The same thing happened at the same school two years ago, but that young man wasn't as lucky.

Why I'm thinking about such things today?   I guess since it is fresh on my mind, and with knowing Will, Preston and Parker are playing....  I also have told myself their little games cannot be as stressful as the high school,  or as my little fellows are learning to play.

Sometines I do have a funny moment I have to write about, and other times I am on the serious side.  Then again I write on spiritual things, or about family, or about my writing group, or neighborhood.

But today, I have no excuse about my time since I last posted about my mouse!  I should be using this in-be-tween time to write.  However I've hit a dry spell and my writing is not flowing.

Anyway, next week is another day, and a whole new opportunity for something exciting to happen in my life.  It is reported that Christopher Columbus, in his journal, wrote many times "Today we sailed West".    Nothing else happened that was worth reporting.  So I'll close with this, "Today I blogged about something."

Yea, Mama said there would be days like this.

Hi Grammy, I have a mental block at times when it comes to writing. I get tired of talking about the weather, too. TW visited over the weekend so I blogged about that today. I think it is just the time of year. I enjoy your blog and coming over here to visit. I'm sure you will come up with something soon.

I know what you mean. I often run out of things to blog about...and one can only see so many chicken pictures before they get tired of them. I just know that when I stop by here, your writing always pulls me in, and I love it. blessings,Kathleen
